My journey began in the hot desert of Arizona, where I spent my early years before relocating to South Dakota at 17 to attend Northern State University. There, I not only played football and track at the collegiate level but also worked with the Special Olympics and Aspire, providing support, training, and care for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.
After three years, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Performance and Fitness (Kinesiology) and moved back to Arizona, where I worked as a rehab technician at Banner Rehabilitation Hospitals. During my time there, I gained invaluable hands-on experience in neuro-focused outpatient clinics, treating a wide range of conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke recovery, and post-surgical rehabilitation for shoulder and knee repairs. I also specialized in aquatic therapy, LSVT, group therapy, and sports-specific training like golf and soccer.
A new opportunity then took me to Brunel University London, where I was offered a position in their Occupational Therapy program. This exciting chapter allowed me to travel through 27 countries, gaining unique experience treating individuals in mental health wards, neuro/physical rehabilitation, and in-home therapy services.
After graduation, I moved to Seattle, Washington, where I became the lead provider of therapy services at Aegis Assisted Living on Lake Union, as well as offering care to adults in the surrounding community. This hands-on experience inspired me to open Propriotherapy, where I now lead a dedicated team of therapists and trainers, committed to delivering personalized, effective therapy solutions within our clinic and beyond.
